Australia is home to some of the most picturesque beaches in the world. From the popular Bondi beach, to the white sandy beaches in Broome, there are so many stunning spots to soak up the sun.
-

Australia hosts top international events year-round. The most popular events include the Australian Open and the Formula One, as well as many other international sports matches, and high-profile concerts and music events. -
Job Opportunities:
From the government hub in Canberra and the top businesses in Sydney, to the creative industries in Melbourne, and fly-in fly-out opportunities almost anywhere in Australia, there are so many areas of opportunity for employment no matter what industry you work in.
-
Lifestyle:
While the bustling cities make for great job opportunities, the regions provide a slower paced, more relaxed lifestyle. Many people in Australia have decided to make a sea-change or tree-change, and relocate to be near the beach or more rural areas for a more enjoyable life.
-
Weather:
Australia is renowned for its warm sunny weather. While we do still get the occasional shower, our winters are very mild and for the most part we enjoy warm temperatures most of the year, which makes living an active, outdoorsy lifestyle easy.
Requirements of Moving to Australia:
-
Visa:
If you are a New Zealand citizen, you won’t need a visa to move to and work in Australia. However, if you’re coming from further afield, such as the United Kingdom, United States or Canada, you will need to apply for a work visa. You may find you will need to have proof that you have an offer of employment waiting for you.
The most common visa is a working holiday visa which is valid for one year. If you have the right skills, an employer may offer to sponsor your visa. There are also special visa types for business owners and investors.
-
Regional Farm Work:
If you are on a working holiday visa, you can extend this by another year if you complete specified work projects in regional areas of Australia. This could be helping out on a farm, fruit picking and so on. You will need to complete 88 days of regional work to be granted the second-year visa.
